Why does grease flow at high temperatures?

Share:
Mar. 25, 2021

1. When the dropping point is low, and the temperature is higher than the dropping point, the grease will melt and flow out.

2. The mechanical stability is poor, and it cannot be restored to its original state after shearing, and it will become thinner if repeated shearing.

3. The colloidal stability is poor. When the fat is deteriorated due to shearing or oxidation, a large amount of oil will be produced.

Measures to prevent grease from flowing or scorching at high temperatures:

1. Choose a grease that has a dropping point that is 30°C higher than the shell temperature and has good mechanical stability and colloidal stability.

2. Choose grease with base oil as synthetic oil.

4. Strictly abide by the lubrication management regulations, scientifically plan regularly and quantitatively, and replace the old grease with new grease within the time limit.

Baoxing has focused on researching and developing high-temperature anti-wear and noise-silencing lubricants and greases for 15 years.
