Electronic switches are usually metal sheet and metal sheet surface contact. 1. When sliding the switch, the friction between the metal sheets is obvious. When the metal sheets are worn, it is easy to have poor contact with the switch, so the switch with long working time and long service life is especially obvious.

 

2. The switch metal sheet basically has a coating to protect the metal sheet from being oxidized, but the metal coating is easy to wear under a long-term friction state. The metal sheet without coating protection is exposed to the air environment and is easily oxidized and formed by oxidation. Oxide exposure will produce a constant additional resistance, thereby reducing the conductivity of the switch. At the same time, the continuous oxidation and wear of the metal sheet greatly shortens the switch

 

3. When the current flows, the switch generates an instantaneous high voltage between the metal contact seats, forming an arc, and the EDM can melt or burn the plastic around the metal seat.

 

It is especially important to select the appropriate switch contact grease. Baoxing tells you that when choosing a grease, you should generally pay attention to the following grease characteristics:

 

1. The switch contact grease needs to be efficiently lubricated. Generally speaking, the life test requirement of the switch is at least 100,000 times to millions of times. Therefore, in order to meet the life requirements of the switch, the lubricating force of the selected grease must be excellent. The oil with high lubricity can ensure that the switch has a very Smooth and quiet operation ability.

 

2. The switch contact grease has high adhesion, the metal surface is smoother due to electroplating, and the grease is difficult to adhere. The oil smeared on the metal surface in a warm state is easily lost due to heat absorption and softening, so it is used for the switch metal sheet The grease must have sufficient adhesion;

 

3. It is suitable for the high and low temperature performance of the switch contacting grease. Many switches are often used in the northern outdoor environment. Usually the switch is required to work at a very low temperature, so the grease should not be easily solidified at low temperatures. Otherwise, it will be difficult for the switch fixed with grease to slide and affect the normal operation of the switch; high temperature phenomenon is also common in the switch operating environment, so even at high temperatures, the oil is not easy to be diluted, lost or volatilized, and the lubrication effect of the switch is also Will be lost.

 

4. The switch contact grease has long-lasting oxidation resistance. The oil film adheres to the metal surface, which can block the contact between metal and air and help protect the switch metal from oxidation. However, if the oil itself is not highly oxidative, the oil will be oxidized. It is possible to accelerate the oxidation of metals due to auto-oxidation, so oil with good oxidation resistance must be selected;

 

5. The switch contact grease effectively extinguishes fire and prevents carbon deposition. The electrical characteristics of the switch must be considered when the switch is lubricated. Therefore, the selected grease must have a certain degree of particularity in order to effectively extinguish the arc. ;
