A micro motor is a motor with a small volume, a small capacity, and an output power generally below a few hundred watts, and a motor with special requirements for use, performance and environmental conditions. It is often used in control systems to realize functions such as detection, calculation, amplification, execution or conversion of electromechanical signals or energy, or to drive mechanical loads. It can also be used as AC and DC power supplies for equipment. Such as disk drives, photocopiers, CNC machine tools, robots, etc., all use micro motors. Let's take a look at the types of micro motors and their application areas.

What are the types of micro motors:

There are many types of micro motors, which can be roughly divided into DC motors, AC motors, auto-angle motors, stepping motors, resolvers, shaft angle encoders, AC and DC motors, tachogenerators, induction synchronizers, linear motors, 13 categories including piezoelectric motors, motor units, and other special motors.

Features:

The motor is a reversible synchronous motor composed of a permanent magnet synchronous motor and a built-in reduction box. It has the advantages of large torque, low noise, small size, light weight, convenient use, and constant speed operation. It can also be matched with various gear boxes to achieve The purpose of changing the output speed and torque.

Structure classification:

Micro motors can be roughly divided into three categories in structure:

1. Electromagnetic:

The basic composition is similar to that of ordinary motors, including stator, rotor, armature winding, brushes and other components, but the structure is extremely compact.

2. Combined type:

There are two common ones: the combination of the above-mentioned various micro motors; the combination of the micro motors and electronic circuits. For example, the combination of DC motor and sensor, the combination of X direction and Y direction linear motor, etc.

3. Non-electromagnetic:

The external structure is the same as the electromagnetic type. For example, rotating products are made into a cylindrical shape, and linear products are made into a square shape, but the internal structure is very different due to different working principles.

Application range:

Food machinery, textile machinery, medical equipment, smart doors and windows, monitor PTZ, advertising light boxes, household appliances, heating and cooling air conditioners, actuator control and other low-power constant-speed and high-torque equipment.

Application areas:

Micro motors are mainly used in 3 areas: ① Drive occasions without special control requirements as the power source of moving mechanical loads. ② Audio and video equipment. For example, in a video cassette recorder, the micro motor is not only a key component of the drum assembly, but also an important component of its capstan drive, automatic loading of tapes and cassettes, and tape tension control. ③ Office automation equipment, computer peripheral equipment and industrial automation equipment. Such as disk drives, copiers, CNC machine tools, robots, etc., all use micro motors

Maintenance of micro motor:

During the long-term high-speed operation of the gearbox in the micromotor, wear will occur between the gears and the gears. If the wear is severe, it will affect the working life of the micromotor and generate relatively loud noise.

In order to ensure the long-term smooth operation of the micromotor, reduce noise and prolong the service life of the motor, we need to add noise-absorbing, anti-wear and lubricating motor gear grease in the gear box.
