Features of food grade lubricants:

First, you must have good lubricating properties

Secondly, it does not meet the requirements of relevant food safety regulations and is not called a food-grade lubricant.

Food-grade lubricants are specially designed for the working environment of food machinery, such as high/low temperature, high humidity and other design formulas, and generally require very excellent anti-oxidation, high and low temperature resistance and anti-emulsification properties.

When food companies apply food-grade lubricants to food machinery, they first need to analyze the possibility of food machinery lubricant contact, the possibility of bacterial reproduction, the significance of the hazard, etc., and find lubrication points with different uses and different requirements, and occasional contact Food lubrication points use H1 food-grade lubricants, and food-free lubrication points use H2 or industrial-grade lubricants.

Food-grade lubricants are lubricants whose contact with food during production will not cause physiological harm to consumers, and will not affect the smell and taste of food. The content in food is less than 10mg/Kg, and the food-grade lubricant is harmless even if consumed. On the contrary, if the lubricant used is not a food grade lubricant, the harm can be expected.

Domestic small and medium-sized food processing companies can use lard, peanut oil, and salad oil to lubricate food machinery to meet their requirements for pollution-free. This is a conceptual error. For example, vegetable oil, as an environmentally friendly lubricant, has good biodegradability, regeneration possibilities and excellent lubricating properties. However, the defects of thermal oxidation stability, low temperature performance and viscosity-temperature performance of vegetable oil restrict its application in the food industry.

Using vegetable oil instead of food-level lubricants is prone to oil oxidation and deterioration. Specifically, the viscosity increases and the lubricating performance decreases, showing the wear and corrosion of mechanical parts. In addition, the contact of spoiled oil products with food will cause food contamination problems and endanger food quality and safety. And the lubricating performance of edible oil is far inferior to professional lubricants. These things are used in a high temperature and high humidity environment, bacteria will quickly grow, mold deterioration, produce toxic and harmful substances, and contaminate food.

If the chain working in the freezer of a food company does not have low-temperature resistant chain oil, the lubricating oil will freeze, so it cannot operate normally. Many food machinery, especially meat processing plants, use a lot of water to clean the equipment every day. The water on the equipment lubrication point is easily absorbed by the additives in the ordinary lubricating oil. Sludge and gel-like substances, lubricating oil quickly deteriorates and malfunctions, lubrication fails, and mechanical damage.

Baoxing Lubricant Co., Ltd.'s food-grade lubricant series have passed the relevant food-grade certification, safe and non-toxic, harmless to the human body, and excellent performance. They have been used in many industries. Welcome to inquire.
