Most of the failures of rolling bearings are directly or indirectly related to poor lubrication. This includes the use of improper lubricants, lubricant aging, insufficient lubrication, etc.

The characteristics of grease basically depend on the following three points

2) Thickener
Thickener is an important part of grease. The thickener can be dispersed in the base oil to form the structural skeleton of the grease, and the base oil is adsorbed and fixed on the structural skeleton. The water resistance and heat resistance of grease are mainly determined by the tackifier.
3) Additives
All greases contain additives. However, among the additives, there are additives that improve the performance of the base oil itself (antioxidants, viscosity modifiers, cleaning agents, etc.), and there are also additives that act on bearings and metal surfaces (for example, wear-resistant additives, anti-corrosive agents, and anti-friction agents). ).
2. Proper use (bearing lubricant), through regular maintenance, can avoid bearing damage caused by lubrication problems. In order to ensure reasonable lubrication, the following operations must be performed:
1) Follow the instructions set by the machine manufacturer for each machine
2) When replenishing grease, please fill a sufficient amount of grease between the rolling parts of the bearing and the housing (or retainer) to fully lubricate the surface of the keyway
3) It is necessary to pay attention to the period when the bearing should be oiled
4) In order to find signs of temperature fluctuations and abnormal high temperatures as soon as possible, monitor the indicators of the equipment
5) Pay attention to equipment noise and abnormal vibration
6) Observe the leakage of lubricating oil
7) Regularly sample lubricating oil to investigate whether it is polluted.
