When the working temperature is high, the gearbox with the faster rotation speed requires the viscosity of the oil to be relatively higher in order to maintain the stability of the oil film at high temperature.
In addition, to evaluate the quality of grease, it mainly depends on the viscosity stability and the thick oil film. Suitable for high-speed, high-power, high-temperature gearboxes. When the viscosity is small, the oil film becomes thinner, which is suitable for gearboxes with low speed, low power and low operating temperature.
Regardless of whether the viscosity is high or low, the anti-oxidation and anti-deterioration properties of gear grease at high temperature must be good.
