The principle of choosing lubricating grease
① When the equipment speed is low, choose a grease with a small penetration degree, otherwise, choose a grease with a large penetration degree.
②Select the appropriate grease according to the working temperature of the equipment. Generally, the dropping point temperature of the grease should be 15-20℃ lower than the equipment temperature.
③When working in a humid environment, calcium-based grease should be used; when working at higher temperatures, sodium-based grease should be used.
The difference between grease and lubricating oil
1. Grease generally has higher load bearing capacity and better damping.
2. Grease has a lower evaporation rate than lubricating oil and has better lubricity.
3. Due to its weak fluidity, the grease is not easy to cause pollution to the equipment after it is attached to the friction surface of the parts, and it can also play a role in preventing the equipment.
4. Lubricating grease has a sealing effect and can prevent the intrusion of moisture, dust and other impurities in the air; it can reduce the complicated sealing device of the equipment.
